- A valid ID (ID card, passport or driver's license) is needed for audio guide rental.
- In order to facilitate the supervision of the Public Security Authorities to access to the Cathedral, you are invited to empty the pockets of metal objects and open the bags. We also inform you that it’s forbidden to enter the Historical Complex with helmets, glass objects, luggages, drones and any kind of weapon. We strongly encourages you not bring big bags.
- To ensure respect for this holy place and a peaceful visit to the Cathedral for both tourists and the faithful, visitors are kindly requested to read the regulations for access to the Cathedral and Terraces.
- In order to access the Duomo Monumental Complex, the ticket holder will have to be dressed appropriately.
- In case of adverse weather conditions, security and public order reasons, or other organizational or technical factors the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo may change opening hours, access methods, visit duration, or any events planned at the Duomo.

This ticket did not allow us to skip any line, it just wasn’t a thing, so we queued along with everyone else. It was worth the wait though as we had a fantastic view from the top it was amazing. You don’t get to walk around the cathedral either, you just walk through it, as you leave,maybe this was because of Covid??? . We loved it all the same.

Do take note that, unlike other tours, this tour does not come with a professional guide (we mistakenly thought there would be). So it would have been much cheaper to get the ticket on the Duomo website, or at the ticket office if you go early enough. There was no queue at 8am when we went.
The Duomo interior and rooftops are well worth the visit though. The Duomo is very beautiful and historic, and the audioguide enriched our experience.
The Duomo interior is open from 8am, but some other areas like the archaeological area, rooftops, and the audioguide counter are only open from 9am (Duomo Museum from 10am), so do take note should you choose an earlier timing. The visit is not only limited to the time stated on the Viator website, so you can go anytime within 3 days of ticket validation.
Due to time constraint, we didn't have time to visit the Duomo Museum and the Church of San Gottardo, so do give yourself plenty of time should you want to get the full experience! I recommend at least half a day.
